I got no links for this Friday sadly, as I can hardly look at my computer monitor without waves of open ocean like sea sickness overpowering me.  So I'll just leave you with yet another quote confirming the lunacy of the Bengals offensive strategery under Brat.  From a KC Joyner chat:

Maybe it's the child-like capacity of my mind right now but that's a pretty profound statement Mr Football Scientist* just casually dropped in there.  The implications loom large.  For the Bengals, it means that when you have a QB who appears to making poor decisions with some frequency, it's actually worse when you throw "easy" short passes.  It's high risk, low reward.  A double whammy.  Hence Brat loves it.  God I loathe that man.

BENGALS (-3) Over New York Jets

Disgusting weekend for Cincy football teams.  Not gonna relive it in this post.  I'll chalk it up to a New Years Hangover, and as you can see from "Hangover Cat", it's a nasty one (h/t Everyday Should Be Saturday).

For now, just a few things:

• Bengals remain the favorite at home by -3 (subject to change).  Gun to your child's head, which side of that do you take?
• According to this article, the line on the game started at 2.5 and was pushed by early betting to 3.  That surprised me.
