I guess it's David Fleming Day here at WDR. Brosef highlights his comments on depth earlier but I want to focus on his quick take on the Bengals' fake sellout on Sunday. Mostly because he echoes something that pissed me off at the time:
I was shocked to hear national pundits rip the city of Cincinnati for the last-second sellout despite the Bengals being 4-1. If you ask me, it was an impressive and strong (if not long overdue) statement from the fans, who said, "Hey, after 20 years of bad football, we're not gonna get fooled by four fluke wins."
Good point David and thanks for noticing our plight, unlike most of your peers. I saw a clip (and someone brought it up in the comments) of Around the Horn - my fault for watching - where they were talking about how crappy we were as fans.
Let me add this to David's comments:
HEY, AROUND THE HORN DICKHEADS, WE HAVE WILDLY SUPPORTED A TEAM THAT HAS TREATED ITS FANS AND CITY LIKE CHUMPS FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS. THAT MIGHT BE ACTUAL OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE WE ARE IN FACT THE MOST LOYAL FANS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. SO EAT S*** AND DIE.
ESPECIALLY YOU, WOODY PAIGE, YOU SCUMMY F-ING RELIC, BECAUSE YOU ALSO CALLED THE BENGALS A JOKE WHEN THEY LOST IN THE 2005 PLAYOFFS AND CLAIMED IT WAS A HOME GAME DUE TO ALL OF THE PITTSBURGH FANS IN THE STANDS.
