This team has every right of being 2-0.  Say what you want, and we have, but today's win at Green Bay is the biggest non-Pittsburgh road win since at least 2004 and potentially since the 90s.  To think that this team is playing Pittsburgh next week in a must win game.  Ha.

Antwan Odom looked like Pro Bowler, Andrew Whitworth looked like a little leaguer.  Carson made several bad throws but was OK overall, I guess.  Cedric Benson ran hard, again, and looked solid.  Chad looked like Chad.  Penalties, penalties, penalties.

More to come later, obviously, but let's celebrate this win while we can.  Seven days until the next "Biggest Game of the Year."  Who Dey.

The Option of Collins

Hey, did you know that Andre Smith remains a hold-out? (Alvin Keels wants to use this silly new-age thing called the "slotting system." What?)

Last week I made an argument that the offense's success in '09 depends primarily on the line's progression, and Bob Bratkowski's ability to adjust to it. One would assume the presence of Smith would be vital going by this logic; some, however, don't. The reason? Anthony Collins.

Offensive Preview: Prognosis Negative

I haven't kept my disapproval of Bob Bratkowski's performance hidden. He should not be the Bengal's offensive coordinator after a dismal 2008 playcalling season but, nevertheless, he is.

Word is that Bratkowski, with the help of Carson Palmer, plans to run the football more this upcoming season. Keeping in mind that I do support Brat changing up his strategies, let's consider the new emphasis on the ground game.
