Yesterday, a season ticket holder 'Ben' who is cancelling his tickets sent us the letter included with ticket invoices. Also attached to the letter were six 'exclusive' season ticket holder football cards (I doubt these will be like the '52 Mickey Mantle Topps Card). Players include: Jordan Shipley, Carson Palmer, Domata Peko, Leon Hall, Andrew Whitworth, and Jermaine Gresham.
Also included with the invoice was a coupon for $25 off a purchase of $50 or more in the pro shop. No popcorn vouchers this year, however.
The letter reads:
January 20, 2011
Dear Season Ticket Holder:
Let me simply say on behalf of all of our coaches, players, staff and ownership: thank you for your support. We know the 2010 season record failed to meet expectations but we are looking forward to an exciting 2011 season and the opportunity to have the success we believe we are capable of. We will continue working to improve the overall stadium in-game experience for you, your family and friends.
In 2010, we offered season ticket holders a chance to participate on a live teleconference call with Head Coach Marvin Lewis and our top picks after the NFL Draft and we plan to conduct another Fan Forum this year after the draft. We continue to offer reduced ticket prices to you (compared to single game buyers) for your season tickets, as well as offer discount specials for select single game tickets. We will continue to look for special opportunities for our season ticket holders in 2011.
We are not raising ticket prices for the 2011 season and have enclosed an invoice for the first 20% of your 2011 season tickets with a due date of Monday, February 28, 2011. The final ticket invoice wil be sent in the beginning of May with a Wednesday, June 1, 2011 due date. Understanding the challenges of these tough economic times, for the first time, we are offering the option of a formal payment plan (see enclosed invoice for more details).
A relocation form is also enclosed and should be completed and returned with payment of this invoice only if you have an interest in relocating. If you are satisfied with your current seats, no action is needed.
Finally, you will find enclosed a fact sheet to answer some frequently asked questions regarding your ticket renewal and the NFL's contract negoitations with our players and the potential lockout. We want to specifically point ou that if games are cancelled in 2011 due to a work stoppage, there will be a refund for all games not played.
We appreciate your support and want you back for a comeback season this year. Please call 513-621-TDTD if you have any questions regarding your account. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you at Paul Brown Stadium in the fall for a great 2011 season.
Sincerely,
Jeff Berding
Director of Sales & Public Affairs

Berding is the same scumbag that helped in the stadium deal with Bedinghaus and they both work for MFB and Berding is a current city council member. http://jeffberding.com/ Hmmmmmmmmm No Ethical or Moral Values going on here now is there. Is $25 worth of Bengals garbage worth NO CHANGE?

I'd like to see some changes in their PR department as well as their Scouting...
I could write a more persuasive letter by the time I was a sophomore at Xavier....

This letter should start out: Dear gullible morons, Let me simply say on behalf of all of our coaches, players, staff and ESPECIALLY ownership, Mike love's sleeping on your money. Most season ticket holders for other teams receive discounts on their pro shop gear, but we'll send you some shitty cards instead...ah what's the fucking point...nothing will ever change here.
Any ideas on a team I should support?

WDR, get with it. Anyone see this???

Palmer wants a trade? I love it
Posted by: TJanns | January 23, 2011 at 01:56 PM
Carson is asking for a trade and/or will retire per Chris Mortenson on ESPN. LOL I am glad Carson came out and said this now because MFB just sent out this renewal letter to the season ticket holders. Way to help out Carson, you are the man!

I love it! Seeing Carson the "Leader" of this team demand a trade and/or contemplate retirement , just shows how dysfunctional this organization truly is!

Please Please Please let these reports be true.

This is a belated Christmas present for Mikey. He won't have to pay him now. Also, if Palmer really wanted to play again, he just sealed his fate by going public. No way Mikey will trade him now. Enjoy retirement Carson.

At least Palmer's admitting that he's been Bengalized... stuck with losing, but financially set for life... well there's no point losing then, is there?
Also: Palmer can take a couple years off and come back in 2014. He'll still have a few years left. Mikey gets to do his act of spite by not trading Palmer, and Palmer gets to avoid further Bengalization.
Good for him!
Every Bengals veteran who is set for life should do likewise.

It won't be so bad: between Jordan Palmer, Jamarcus Russell and Tavaras Jackson a talented successor will emerge. Wow, we are watching a train wreck. The face of the franchise would rather walk than take 13 million to play another year. Welcome to the revolution, Comrade Carson.
I wish I could be graded to another team.

Let the revolution begin.
Carson Palmer should be the honorary president of the revolution.

WDR Task #10 - Let ownership know you are so fed up with the way thing are being ran that you'll retire and walk away from almost another $50 million dollars before you play another snap for his franchise.

@Kevin Jones: Hilarious and so true! Carson has out project-Mayhem'ed us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks @FormerFan. This is the equivalent of Brad Pitt's character in the movie "Snatch" having money on himself the whole time.

We love featuring great recipes on GentDaily and today's is no exception. We actually tried our hand at this delicious protein packed meal and have to say, it's awesome. We loved the combo of the beans and citrus juice and the tenderloin came out perfectly.
