Pickin Games With Uncle Chin

Hi poor people,

WhoDeyRed brought me in to talk about the Bengals Browns "professional football game" happening this Sunday. And after I looked at the matchup I have to go with the Browns. Look at their running back situation. Jerome Harrison made the league his crackpipe at the end of last year. Peyton Hillis is white. So they go with Hillis to get the bulk of the carries this year. That takes some old school, deep south racist stones right there. I have to tip my cap to that sort of cutting off your nose to spite your face personnel decision. High five to whoever on the Browns decided to say, "Fuck Jerome Harrison. What has he done for us lately? And by lately I mean the offseason. You're not going to win a starting job on the Browns by being merely good when real games are happening. You've got to be getting yards in the offseason, not lazing about." 

So yeah, gotta love the Browns for that. As for the Bengals. Jesus. I know I shouldn't be cutting their OC so much slack. But damnit, he's white and old and probably has told a mexican or two to get off his lawn within the last couple hours. So just because he "can't come up with a solid offensive philosophy to save his life" or "tie his own shoes without accidentally hanging himself" everyone thinks he's a bad coach. I think he's a fine coach and I also think he should get some sort of award for his brave decision to try to kill Cedric Benson slowly by running him behind a shitty line 50 times a game. That sort of under the radar racism makes me happy to watch such a horrible offense perform. Now if only Palmer would throw to Shipley more often and not that nightstalker T.O., I could fully get behind this Bengals attack.

Palmer won't have too many more opportunities to throw to Shipley if he keeps getting him killed over the middle, like he does to Chad all the time............ when he could actually put a ball in his vicinity.

I used to despise these Chin posts; however, I've now accepted them as a sort of Aqua Teen Hunger Force-type, absurdist look at things (which, given they're written from the perspective of Bill Cowher's racist, psychotic chin, there's really no other way to look at them), and now I enjoy them tremendously. I'd be interested in BCRPC doing a weekly pick'em on here (so long as it's posted by Thursday so I can use his (its?) astute observations in my office pool.

I've seen the opposite, where parents put their kids into private school kindergarten to get them in a year earlier than the school district would have allowed them. This ended up with a six year old in my second grade class. She wasn't ready.

It really is something that should be considered on an individual basis. My sister was eligible for kindergarten based on her birthday when we lived in California, but when we moved, she ended up being more than a year younger than her classmates for the rest of her schooling. My mom wishes that she had kept her out another year.
