Who Dey Revolution Manifesto

  • Preamble

    IN THIS TIME of perpetual Cincinnati Bengals incompetence and futility, with zero playoff wins in the nineteen seasons since the WhoDeyRevolution Godfather, Paul Brown, passed away in 1991 and handed the team to his fortunate son, the Despot, Mike Brown;

    Introduction

    WE, the members of the Who Dey Revolution, in our fervent dedication to the Cincinnati Bengals and fanatical desire to transform our hometown team into perpetual Super Bowl contenders, call for a popular revolution of fans to demand comprehensive reform to the managerial decisions and approach of Cincinnati Bengals ownership, management, staff and players, and hereby call for the adoption of the following Who Dey Revolution Manifesto:

    Manifesto Demands

    THAT the Mike Brown, Katie Blackburn, Marvin Lewis, along with every other member of the Bengals management, staff and personnel, state publicly to all Bengals fans, “I will do everything in my power to help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl;”

    THAT Mike Brown will hire a general manager, drastically expand the scouting department and relinquish all control of player personnel;

    THAT all training, rehabilitation and medical facilities are considered best-in-class compared to other NFL teams;

    THAT the management fill the team only with players who fit the system, both mentally and physically, and are not reluctant to makes changes to player personnel when needed, regardless of cost or loyalty concerns;

    THAT offensive and defensive line depth is considered the top priority for all player personnel decisions;

    THAT all decisions made by ownership, management, staff and players, both on and off the field, are judged only by this criterion: “Does this help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl?”

Love that picture of St. Paul! And looking at the designs in front of him, another winning decision!

My bad. Found out that pic is from '67. Thought it was '80. So he originally passed on that striped design!

I actually like the pseudo-Egyptian design on the far right, but yeah, I don't care what Moron A, Moron B, or especially Moron Hob has to say - I think the Bengals have some of the best looking uniforms in the league, especially the much-reviled orange alternates (which I've heard decried as being "pumpkin-looking", amongst other things). Ideally, I'll get to spend some more money on them one of these days, but I'd rather wear unlicensed eBay apparel than give money to Mikey Boy.

I like the uniforms, and I've even grown fond of the varicose pumpkin helmets. Going to the SB in 1982 and 1989 makes varicose pumpkins great.

Anybody notice Vegas and the experts all saying it's gonna be a Steelers cakewalk? According to Colin Cowherd Vegas has the Bengals as the 16th best team -- and STILL BEHIND THE RAVENS. That made me think that to prove themselves the Bengals pretty much have to win the Super Bowl. But on second thought an appearance in the AFC Championship game in January would probably be sufficient.

I like the helmet on the right too, the right decision was made in 1980, but I like it all the same. Anything according to Colin Cowherd is suspect, that guy's one of the biggest douches ever, like in the history of the earth, not just radio, not just media, EVER.

I've always thought their helmets could be improved. Maybe more aggressive stripes.

I've always loved all incarnations of the Bengals uniforms actually. Including the helmet.

I was listening to Cowherd while doing something mindless at work the other day and he said, slightly paraphrased, when talking about the big matchup last week with the Ravens that "we'll see if they can sweep a team that Carson has trouble with".

Carson is now 8-3 vs the Ravens I believe. Only James Walker acknowledged that fact I believe of any national media members. The only national media member who understands NFL football in Cincy is David Fleming as far as I know.

The striped helmet has always been the absolute best thing about the Bengals' uniforms. May they never change. Well, in overall scheme. Tweaks are legit.

The first time I walked into PBS and saw the seat backs, I knew the striped helmet would be with us for a long, long time.

I think we have the best helmet but the new uniforms are terrible. I wish we would go back to the old ones Boomer used to wear. As far as announcers and Media. TJ from ESPN is the only one who really watches the Bengals. He has been my favorite since forever.

I do thinks there unis need a little touch up but Mikey Boy wont spend the jack to do it.I think it would be cool to reverse there helmets,black helmets with orange stripes and make the black pants with orange stripes there regular home pants.But thats too muck money.

"Oh wait, that wasn't you, it's just a guy that looks like you except with football knowledge."

That just makes me laugh!

I think Mikey would spend money on new uniforms. That's much cheaper than scouts.

That picture looks like someone just told him he could have that one
