In two days the greater Cincinnati area will find out if this 3-1 Bengals team is for real. While a lot can be said about a win on the road against the Packers and finally beating the Steelers at home, there are still a lot of skeptics out there...myself included. This Sunday, Bengals Nation will get a chance to see how we stack up against one of the better (if not best) teams in the NFL. Baltimore, aside from being a very well-rounded and physical team, also has one of the most intimidating stadiums on gameday; for players and fans. Unfortunately, I found this out first-hand about five years ago when tailgating at M&T Bank Stadium. Long story short, my day started by dodging raw hamburger balls being thrown at me and ended with a stadium security officer escorting me out of the bathroom because all the Ratbird fans draped in purple decided they were going to physically deny me use of a urinal. A classy bunch I must say.
The good news is this: Joe Flacco and I have something in common. We are both alumni of the University of Delaware, thus, we are both Fighting Blue Hens. While you may be thinking, "how is this good news?" the answer appears to be quite obvious. After spending superfluous amounts of time on research and lab studies this week I have come to this mind-boggling conclusion. A Bengal tiger, when put face-to-face with a female chicken, regardless of said chicken's physical attributes or training methods, will almost always come out victorious. Dont believe me? Check it out for yourself. The moral of this story is that Joe Flacco is a female chicken, at least according to his degree, and nature won't allow a hen to defeat a tiger...this is science people and science doesn't lie.
Now that we are all on the same page, this is a good time for all you locals to find your WDR mug and put it under your pillow. Come Sunday morning the beer fairy will grant you $1 beers all day at Blackfinn! If you don't have a mug yet don't worry, we will be selling them in the lobby as usual. This is a huge AFC North game and the cheap beer at Blackfinn isn't going to drink itself. Come to Blackfinn, bring your mug and watch the Bengals take on the Ratbirds. Last week we may or may not have had an appearance by Aubrey O'day...who knows who may or may not show up this Sunday!

The flaw in the line of logic is the selection of college mascot on the one hand, vs pro mascot on the other. It's comparing apples and oranges. You can call Flacco a female chicken and Maualuga a Trojan (or Leon Hall a Wolverine, etc). But let's be consistent.
That said, would a Bengal kill a flock of Ravens? Probably not. But would 53 tigers kill a flock of Ravens? Now that's worth watching.

As a fighting Blue hen myself, I root for him to do well while the team loses. Sorry.
