Due to the misguided benevolence of the local CBS affiliate and grocery chain, WDR wasn't able to extend it's streak of taking credit for Bengal's blackouts. No matter, we know our loyal comrades continue to support the boycott, and only some corporate chicanery has allowed the masses to see the first home game this year. If anything this helps our cause, as we don't expect the three hour commercial that Krogers and WKRC just purchased to be particularly enticing, given who the director was (and continues to be). However, as has been noted, tickets are still available, so as is our custom we present an alternative to throwing money into the Bermuda triangle that is Mike Brown's wallet.
Instead of dropping $64 on a North End Zone Club Level seat this weekend why not take Sam Wyche's advice and remember that there is tennis to be served up and golf to be played. 18 holes at Reeves on foot with your kid will run you $32 ($22 for you, $10 for them), and you can follow it up with a couple hours of tennis on the Lunken clay courts for $18. A new can of tennis balls from Dicks for $3, a couple of 32oz Gatorades from UDF for $1.59 each and you save $7.82 and untold numbers of calories over a trip to pad the Brown family coffers.
Pass,I'd rather be a fan and watch them good or bad then go play golf and tennis....Seriously wow let's go play some sissy sports rather then watch football...atleast suggest shooting hoops or going to a batting cage but Tennis? WOW.......
