As Brosef Stalin previously posted, Project Mayhem Task #9 was unveiled today in Georgetown, Kentucky at Bengals Training Camp. Around 10:10 am, a plane hauling a sign saying: "I CAN SEE ONLY 1 SCOUT FROM HERE!" flew across the entire Bengals facility on the Georgetown College campus, circling for over 45 minutes. The plane was impossible to miss, as fans, players, and even Bengals management all stopped to take notice. About 1,500 fans were in attendance, and the reactions varied from "Those are probably Browns fans ragging on us" to "Those Who Dey Revolution guys are at it again, that's awesome". As a devoted comrade to the revolution, I did my best to educate the folks that were in disbelief that the Bengals could only have one full time scout (they do, it's true).
In fact, it seems like we really got to the Bengals brass.
We received reports while the plane was in the air that the Bengals alerted Georgetown, KY police...who then called the Scott County Airport to ask them if a plane took off from their airport with a message in tow.
Minutes later, someone identifying themselves as the 'Head of Bengals Security" called the Lexington Tower to get the plane number and contact the pilot. This person then told the pilot "I'm going to be nice about this just once, but we have 1,500 people here and I would appreciate it if you didn't fly over the stadium. We want you to stay at least three miles away from the stadium. If you don't, I will have to file a TFR (temporary flight restriction)."
Looks like the Bengals got fired up over a little plane. Too bad they are more upset about this than a three-touchdown loss to the Steelers twice a year.
Basically, the Bengals want to shut down a small plane that has a completely benign message and infringe upon free speech. I'd love to see the just cause to satisfy the requirements for a TFR.
DO NOT let the Bengals win this fight. Help us keep the planes in the air by donating $19 (one for every year of Mike Brown's reign). The link to donate is the PayPal link on the top left of the page. The entire nation will hear our story with Hard Knocks in attendance, and the world needs to hear our cries for a General Manager and competent scouting department.
More pictures after the jump and later this weekend...

There is no way this can't make it onto Hard Knocks. This is much too distracting/hilarious.

Way to go guys. I really think Mikey Boy will fight tooth and nail to keep this from making it onto Hard Knocks, but you're trying and that's all you can do. Keep fighting the good fight.

P.S. I be ignorant. What is "Hard Knocks"?
Posted by: MikeBrownGivesFreeBlumpies | August 01, 2009 at 05:43 PM
Punkin strikes a pose identical to her Paw.
"Hard Knocks" is the annual HBO series that documents one NFL team's training camp. It usually tries to manufacture drama out of position battles, pressure on coaches, etc. The Bengals are this year's featured team.
Posted by: tbar | August 01, 2009 at 06:23 PM
How can punkin and paw face the team, coaches, and media without a thorough discust for there way of running a most competitive team who really works hard too! MB says it, cause they be on tv soon and darn toot'n to show us.
Next banner: Mike Brown DIE or Sell the team to someone who wants to WIN!!!!!!

Are you sure there were 1,500 in attendance? From the practice video over at hobknob central it looked like there was about 50 people in the stands. Also, did you notice people had to bring their own chairs to sit and watch? LOL Cheap SOB! Charge $15 bucks to get in and have you stand to watch. Typical MFB move, take from people and give nothing in return. Good Job guys on the sign and keep up the great work!
Posted by: TigerJ@w | August 01, 2009 at 09:07 PM
Oh, I forgot to add, did MFB or Pumkin see the plane and look up? That picture would have been CLASSIC!
Posted by: TigerJ@w | August 01, 2009 at 09:08 PM
I love what you are doing guys. Keep it up. Mike brown has to learn that a real football team can't be run this way. I have been a fan since 80'. Mikeyboy always finds a way to break my heart every year. If he wants to protect are great quaterback why is Hippo-smith not signed. See what I mean.

Fuck youas sholes... Grow up man. Alot of these people have put up with results like LAST SEASon for over 18 YEARS 18 YEARS!!!!! Ive put up with it for 8. It drives me crazy at times. The site is right. While our optimism for this upcoming season may be appropriate we have all seen the continuing results of the repeated faith in Mike Browns operations. LOSING. With regards to 2005, that was awesome. But our recored has declined since. 8-8 , 7-9, 4-11-1. Is it gonna go back up!? Who knows. But dont get pissed when people dont feel the same way you do kid. Wait and see how this season turns out. Give it a while. I for one am OPTIMISTIC but i have to check myself cause its always up in the air with this team. So chill out man. Seriously.

Pick another team this crap is a joke and you make yourselves look bad !
Posted by: you cant be serious | August 02, 2009 at 10:08 PM
Why would you waste your time and money if you hate Mike Brown and the Bengals ? It makes no sense, he will never sell the team and when he dies the kids take over. If you don't like it cheer for another team. Get a life dude !
Posted by: you cant be serious | August 02, 2009 at 10:11 PM
3rd big pic down. Is it a sign of how pathetic the Bengals are that you have a Browns fan in attendance, or a sign of how pathetic the Browns are? Probably both.
Posted by: John | August 03, 2009 at 11:28 AM
lol this is a waste of time, if you r a fan of the team, show support to the players. and if u really hate mike brown, don't do something that will distract the whole team. Send him a bunch of mail or e-mails, something that only effects him. To be a real fan of the team, u shouldn't be part of something that is this negative!
Posted by: amas85 | August 03, 2009 at 12:13 PM
Wow, amas85 - send Mike Brown mail or emails? That's your big idea? Maybe you should try it and see how far you get. The WDR guys are far, far beyond writing e-mails. They have real ideas and implement them, and are getting attention for those ideas. I have been a Bengals fan my whole life, but Mike Brown is the worst owner in sports and needs to be held accountable.
Posted by: boriskat | August 03, 2009 at 02:22 PM
I see it got some MFB supporters attention did it not? Clown Brown needs to shown what the fans really think of him instead of the ones that sit on their arses every Sunday in PBS while sipping their pina coladas and then they go home biatchin about yet another loss. Keep paying this clown to watch a circus! You are the ones that are the FOOLS!

I was there Saturday and I'd say 1500 people in attendance is a valid estimate. About the seating arrangement, there are 3 fields at the facility...two practice fields that don't have seats, and the main field inside the stadium that does. They alternate fields (I assume to keep from wearing out the turf on any one of them) from day to day, and even within the same day. They were working out inside the stadium for about the first half of pracitce, then moved down to the auxillary field.
Anyway, just felt the need to clarify those two points of discussion. I say keep flying the banners...maybe the message will get through eventually.

Thank god for Who Dey Revolution! Keep up the good fight, maybe one day Brown will clue into what other succesful organizations do that win Super Bowls!

Guys - I'm a long time Browns fan, but I've got to show some love here. This is just awesome and hilarious. Way to do everything you can to make your point.
