Who Dey Revolution Manifesto

  • Preamble

    IN THIS TIME of perpetual Cincinnati Bengals incompetence and futility, with zero playoff wins in the nineteen seasons since the WhoDeyRevolution Godfather, Paul Brown, passed away in 1991 and handed the team to his fortunate son, the Despot, Mike Brown;

    Introduction

    WE, the members of the Who Dey Revolution, in our fervent dedication to the Cincinnati Bengals and fanatical desire to transform our hometown team into perpetual Super Bowl contenders, call for a popular revolution of fans to demand comprehensive reform to the managerial decisions and approach of Cincinnati Bengals ownership, management, staff and players, and hereby call for the adoption of the following Who Dey Revolution Manifesto:

    Manifesto Demands

    THAT the Mike Brown, Katie Blackburn, Marvin Lewis, along with every other member of the Bengals management, staff and personnel, state publicly to all Bengals fans, “I will do everything in my power to help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl;”

    THAT Mike Brown will hire a general manager, drastically expand the scouting department and relinquish all control of player personnel;

    THAT all training, rehabilitation and medical facilities are considered best-in-class compared to other NFL teams;

    THAT the management fill the team only with players who fit the system, both mentally and physically, and are not reluctant to makes changes to player personnel when needed, regardless of cost or loyalty concerns;

    THAT offensive and defensive line depth is considered the top priority for all player personnel decisions;

    THAT all decisions made by ownership, management, staff and players, both on and off the field, are judged only by this criterion: “Does this help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl?”

I think we all know who should have stayed and who should have gone, but the signal caller was Crazy Legs, for god sakes.

aka "piernas locas"... I loved that nickname.

OchoEgo can't take all of the blame for the 2008 disaster -- there is plenty of blame for everyone to get a share -- but he didn't do much to help either. But Judge points out some of the problems that are secondary to the "does Chad still got it?" debate.
- He doesn't block CBs worth sh*t to help the running game
- He falls down after a catch rather than pick up a few YAC and take a hit
- He drops as many throws as he catches
- He won't go over the middle
- He cries so much that he needs a binkie

Get him out of here. Let T.O. jr drop someone else's ball.

Major payne you making up false accusations about chad, sure he is a whiner at times but he is not afraid to go over the middle and he does not drop as many as he catches... you are a dumb pesimistic asshole who will rip on anyone who has a bad season. let me give you this stat in the last 5 years he is 4 in total yards for WR. even after his no show last season. so before you go ripping on chad think about fitz running for his life trying to throw a pass to chad and he can't even heave it thirty yards on a good day. so fuck off with your rediculous statements

and he has helped us win zero playoff games, or big games for that matter...

no one has helped us win any playoff games, gimp. regardless of if you think he helps win the big games, he certainly helps us win games that then create the opportunity for big games. you have zero credibility if you think his stats last year indicate he's done as a premium wide receiver. that's what he has been, is, and will be. i don't care for his antics sometimes (sometimes i love the shit out of them), but none of it comes close to washing out the positive play he brings to the bengals. now if you're so sure of your fancy pants selves, give us the real stats. how many balls does he catch. how many balls does he drop. do it year by year if you want. how many t.d.'s does he have? how many balls did he drop in the red zone? how many in the end zone? rank him on YAC. compare he to similiar deep-threat receivers. who are the leaders in that department? can they burn, be gumbi, jump, tap the toe, and run sick routes like chad can? (regardless if there's like less than 5 times when there has been a discrepancy if carson or chad was on the wrong page...everyone knows chad gets open and has sick hands. if you can't admit that, then you're a true douche.) what bengals receivers do block downfield? how many in the league really do (i know it just so happens that the premier receiver who does it is on our fucking enemy's team, but who really wants that bastard over chaddy?) stop bitching about it, and start recognizing how football works and is played. chad is elite and will help this team win.

Chad won't help us win because he doesn't want to. That's the problem, he doesn't want to be here, doesn't plan on producing, and we'd be better off to just let him go.

Matt, your protective hyper-sensitivity of Chad is kind of cute, even if it clouds your view. 1) I expressly said that 2008 was not all Chad's fault. 2) I never said Chad was washed up. I actually think he could have a good year... if he's playing for someone else.

If your panties are in a bunch about Chad not going over the middle, then get pissy with Clark Judge. It was the only point of his that I copied. And don't forget that you really need to count along with dropped balls all of the incompletions caused by him being out of position (which is why he ought get his a** into town this week... but he won't, will he, Matt?).

Chad was an elite receiver, but don't go trying to project the next few years off of the last 5. You want proof? What proof do you have that he will actually put in real effort this year? Drew Rosenhaus says so? You might have some if he were here practicing with the team, but he isn't. He wasn't here last year either, and look how that turned out.

Love Chad if you want. I really could care less. But I'm over him. I prefer someone with enough drive and a small enough ego to get himself into OTA's over Chad's whining, distracting talent.
