This is bullshit! P Doc was awesome, and Alan Cutler is the voice of the Bengals. Clear Channel is a freaking monopoly run by a bunch of morons. They've obviously over stretched themselves by buying up every radio station in the country and are now trying to save money by combining talent and programming from different stations. No more Bengal's Radio Network on the weekends? If I wanted to listen to Fox Sports radio and non-stop talk about teams in New York, Boston, and LA I would listen to 1360 ESPN radio. This is a sad, sad, day for any fan of 700 WLW.

they have lost my support with this move....I even sent them a "comment" stating the fact lol....I do strangely belive that MB was somehow behind this....but that is usually my response to anything I fail to understand...

I used to think very highly of Daugherty until I heard his incredibly, sadistic rant several nights ago on WLW about how he tried to kill the moles in his yard-something about chlorine, eyes bulging etc -pretty scary stuff. Hopefully, that's why he was canned. As a sports writer, the best, as a human, a piece of shit. Cutler, I couldn't stand. No comment on C. Trent-seemed like a nice guy.

Wow. This is unsurprising, but ridiculously awful. C Trent and Paul did a great job getting the word out. I wasn't as fond of Cutler but I at least liked that he acknowledged discontent in more than a passing way. I hope that you guys find other receptive ears out there to keep the progress going!

This really sucks.
Just business being business, though.
CTR will land on his feet somewhere, guy has great blogging skills.
Mo was a nice guy who will be good filler
Doc was alright, he's been getting nuttier and nuttier recently.
Cutler...I can finally die happy now that that bonehead is gone.
It's so disapointing that we are losing shows. If they were replaced, I'd be better. But losing local shows sucks.

C Trent is a real loss. Cutman actually grew on me, I really liked how Jeff Piccora used to get so pissed that people would say "It's a great day to be a Bengals fan." I guess Broo will take over the post game duties?

Well, in the face of such setbacks, once the smoke clears we'll just have to regroup and reorganize to find the next local media source to act as our agents on the inside. Plus, I'm sure Doc and C Trent are gonna land on their feet somewhere.
The Revolution marches on.

they did the same thing in Detroit, blew out local for national. RIP WDFN as we knew it

No big deal. Daugherty was a know-it-all prick! There's a reason that he had a voice for Newsprint....
Cutler? Big friggin' whoop! That idiot actually stated (paraphrasing) the other day something on the order that the Bengals were good to go and this is a fine sports town -- something like that. I know guys feel like they have to toe the company line but for once -- LET PEOPLE know how you REALLY FEEL! If you can't do that, don't make 'positive' statements either.
What bothers me is why that little turd, Tracey, wasn't let go! He made the mistake of going 180 degrees opposite of being too meek as a new radio personality -- he became of punk. Some people may go for that but in the end, you are still a punk.
Oh one could only hope... ... while they are at it can they fire Parks and Cunningham?
Posted by: WCH | April 29, 2009 at 07:22 AM
Are you talking about that ego-maniacal jerk Tracey Jones? I can't stand even hearing him for that brief second when I'm channel surfing.
Posted by: PAl | April 29, 2009 at 02:43 PM
It's the only Tracey I know of that's on radio.
I think it was on the Enquirer's website that a person wrote that he heard one person talking about some stuff and claiming to be a doctor or some such thing, then the guy swears that he heard the same person talking about another subject and claiming to be an expert in that field etc. I would dearly love to find out if that is true because it might net that 'turd' being fired.

I do think it's the Bengals fault, as well as the Reds, and UC basketball for sucking so bad. People are getting adverse to sports from the abuse!!
