What could possibly be better than reading my broken english on WDR? Hearing my broken english in person of course!
For those interested, particularly Revolutionaries in New York City (or close by), I will be speaking alongside a few other sports bloggers on one of the panels for Blogs With Balls, a conference about sports media this June. The particular panel featuring WDR will focus on "Earned Media" which is just code for the fact that media outlets other than bloggers gave us the attention our egos so desperately crave. The organizers have put together a really nice agenda featuring some high profile speakers so it should be fun in spite of the fact that I will be there.
Check out the agenda here and register here if you are interested.
Also, we need volunteers for Draft day in NYC to continue to wreak havoc on Mike Brown's Bengals via another Project Mayhem Task. Details here. Send an email to us at whodeyrevolution@gmail.com if you can participate. IMPORTANT: also get in touch with us if you have Bengals gear featuring past failed draft picks.*
*all donated jerseys will be returned, of course

I am the proud owner of a Keiwan Ratliff jersey.
It would be hard to let go though, I do enjoy laughing at myself every time I wear it. I think others enjoy that too.

This begs the question "Which jersey is the most prized?", or in other words, what was the worst draft pick of the MB era? So many choices, but I'll say Akili.

I have an Odell Thurman jersey, but my work requires me to travel and I won't be home between now and the draft to send it.
Also, Bagdhad Hob mentioned you guys in his latest Hobson's Choice:
"This is why it kind of jolts you when people say Bengals president Mike Brown doesn't want to win. Getting saddled with a top 10 pick is plenty of incentive. You end up rolling the dice on a guy that is going to be one of your top five paid players and he hasn't played a snap. Lose in this league, and you end up in a game of economic Russian roulette."
Meaning even winning is a purely financial thing for Mikey Boy.

Wow, so we should believe MB is committed to winning because he has a top 10 pick in the draft? Hasn't he had incentive for every other first-round pick that was a bust?

This explains why the Bengals have such a high incentive to win meaningless games at the end of the year. Those top two or three picks are much too expensive for MB. But he can live with a pick from 5 - 10, which are less expensive.

Build around the O-Line!
1st round OT Andre Smith
2nd round C Eric Wood

Robinsgr is really on to something! The Bengals MO the past sucky two decades has been to win meaningless games that cost them the chance to draft a Tony Gonzalez or Walter Jones and instead get to pick Reinard Wilson.
