Who Dey Revolution Manifesto

  • Preamble

    IN THIS TIME of perpetual Cincinnati Bengals incompetence and futility, with zero playoff wins in the nineteen seasons since the WhoDeyRevolution Godfather, Paul Brown, passed away in 1991 and handed the team to his fortunate son, the Despot, Mike Brown;

    Introduction

    WE, the members of the Who Dey Revolution, in our fervent dedication to the Cincinnati Bengals and fanatical desire to transform our hometown team into perpetual Super Bowl contenders, call for a popular revolution of fans to demand comprehensive reform to the managerial decisions and approach of Cincinnati Bengals ownership, management, staff and players, and hereby call for the adoption of the following Who Dey Revolution Manifesto:

    Manifesto Demands

    THAT the Mike Brown, Katie Blackburn, Marvin Lewis, along with every other member of the Bengals management, staff and personnel, state publicly to all Bengals fans, “I will do everything in my power to help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl;”

    THAT Mike Brown will hire a general manager, drastically expand the scouting department and relinquish all control of player personnel;

    THAT all training, rehabilitation and medical facilities are considered best-in-class compared to other NFL teams;

    THAT the management fill the team only with players who fit the system, both mentally and physically, and are not reluctant to makes changes to player personnel when needed, regardless of cost or loyalty concerns;

    THAT offensive and defensive line depth is considered the top priority for all player personnel decisions;

    THAT all decisions made by ownership, management, staff and players, both on and off the field, are judged only by this criterion: “Does this help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl?”

See why winning those couple games at the end of last year does to you!! F'N A!!! so instead of being in the top 5 in the draft we win our last couple games for no purpose whatsover and now we are screwed with uncertainty as usual.

Everyone is saying the exact same thing when it comes to the draft. The Bengals are going to have to take the 3rd best OT and move on. Whether Mayock, Kiper, or the pharmacist believe it is a reach or not is really irrelevant. The bottom line is that is their need and the BPAs there don't come close to matching a need. What I would love is to hear one of these experts say why Andre Smith or Michael Oher is definitively better than the other. No one seems to want to touch that one. Also is Orakpo more valuable then these two??

WDR why don't you guys go out on a limb and make a mock draft? Who and where do you the Bengals should pick?

I don't know why everyone makes such a big about the NFL draft. I've never really thought it was that important. I mean, the only reason I even go is for the free crab cakes.

The answer to everyone's question: Just let your time run out without turning in a card. Move on down the line until you find your pick. Sure it won't be fun trying to figure out which slot to pay them for, but who cares?, they're just going to hold out anyway.

As for being the "cheap" way out...would you expect anything different from this club?

Hey Yes,
You play to win the game

The Bengals were 28th in kickoff effectiveness in 2008 according to NFL.COM and had a woeful 8 touchbacks. They need to build up their kicking and/or punting depth by picking up their own version of Carolina's Rhys Lloyd (30 touchbacks).

1st round: Sandro DeAngelis (Calgary Stampeders) 2008 Grey Cup's Most Outstanding Canadian.

2nd round: Pat McAfee (West Virginia-punter) will confuse opponent's return teams with odd rugby-style kicks.

3rd round: Sam Swank (Wake Forest-kicker/punter combo)--human buy one get one free coupon.

The defense will be top 10 for sure with opposing offenses backed up deep in their own territory. Plus, without slotting to worry about, think of the money to be saved!

Agreed that you play to win, but my god we pick a terrible time of the season to start wanting it. I mean Jesus Christ seriously? Get a really good draft pick or pick up your level of play even though its pointless?? Um yeah ok Bengals. And runpassorBOOT my God I hope you're joking. Seems like you are.

Also, will someone assuage my recent fears that the Bengals are moving out of Cincinnati soon? There's just something about it all, if Mike Brown really does start listening, will he invest the money for a winner, or move to a city that is crazy for an NFL team, no matter what like San Jose or OK City? Just a thought...

Ryan Smith,

Next comment can you work in a few more "Gods" or "Jesus" references?

If they were not playing to win those last games we'd be up in arms about that too. I'm sorry can't support tanking and I thought it gave some of the young guys playing time. Wish they had started the season like that, but certainly am not going to fault them for it.

They should use the #1 pick on OT, but you know these guys -- probably will select best looking athlete.

Matt-

I think Yes is being sarcastic, sure everyone knows you win to to play the game, but ultimately you play to win a championship and regardless of whether we won those last few games or not, we werent making the playoffs and now we are in a bind in the draft...

Hey guys,

The "play to win the game" reference was a Herm Edwards post game meltdown reference. I don't think most people are really getting it as far as the draft. No one wants to be in the top ten. Let alone top six. No one wants to pay unproven players top money. If the bengals wanted to be guaranteed that shiny new OT they could hop up to where KC is pretty easily. The point analysts are making is there is not a lot of difference between Oher and Jason Smith. One is a top two pick and the other is a top fifteen pick. So really it comes down to who you want to reach for.
You guys don't make a lot of sense. If we won six games we clearly would be out of the playoff race, but would be picking in the teens. Should they not try to win six games? Because clearly you won't make the playoff that way and you aren't going to get a top five pick. So Herm is right you play to win. I am much happier the Bengals won four games last year. There were analysts midseason who really thought the Bengals and Lions were going 0-16. So yeah we may not get the two pint stance guy or the guy who had is knee cap completely dislocated. But hey we will probably get the guy with bigger boob than most of our gfs or the guy who had a sweet book written about him. I think I would reach just so the Micheal Oher story is in our city.

Ryan, are you working for the Bengals? I wouldn't doubt that Mikey would try to start a rumor that he might just pick up and leave if we don't start realizing that we should just be grateful to him for bringing us the NFL experience. Who knows, Bobby Bedinghaus may have snuck in a clause that allows Mikey to get out of the lease if he "FEELS" unappreciated. Start watching out for the midnight moving trucks.

Cincinnati would be better off if the Bengals moved.

Haha had I been working for the Bengals, this site would no longer exist. I'd probably force myself to spike Mikey's morning prune juice or bran muffin. It's just frightening more and more to me that if he actually does listen to "us", he could easily tell us to screw off and move the team. He is just that much of a dick. And while I hate him, I love the Bengals and would hate to see them move. I don't know, idle pandering I suppose but that's my ultimate fear and seeing as how he is related to Satan in some manner, I'm sure he could do it (and has thought of it).

And Jesus Allah Buddha God Confucius Christ Gambling Fool. I think I can.

If you're in not good state and have got no cash to move out from that point, you will require to take the credit loans. Just because that should aid you unquestionably. I take car loan every year and feel good because of this.
