Who Dey Revolution Manifesto

  • Preamble

    IN THIS TIME of perpetual Cincinnati Bengals incompetence and futility, with zero playoff wins in the nineteen seasons since the WhoDeyRevolution Godfather, Paul Brown, passed away in 1991 and handed the team to his fortunate son, the Despot, Mike Brown;

    Introduction

    WE, the members of the Who Dey Revolution, in our fervent dedication to the Cincinnati Bengals and fanatical desire to transform our hometown team into perpetual Super Bowl contenders, call for a popular revolution of fans to demand comprehensive reform to the managerial decisions and approach of Cincinnati Bengals ownership, management, staff and players, and hereby call for the adoption of the following Who Dey Revolution Manifesto:

    Manifesto Demands

    THAT the Mike Brown, Katie Blackburn, Marvin Lewis, along with every other member of the Bengals management, staff and personnel, state publicly to all Bengals fans, “I will do everything in my power to help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl;”

    THAT Mike Brown will hire a general manager, drastically expand the scouting department and relinquish all control of player personnel;

    THAT all training, rehabilitation and medical facilities are considered best-in-class compared to other NFL teams;

    THAT the management fill the team only with players who fit the system, both mentally and physically, and are not reluctant to makes changes to player personnel when needed, regardless of cost or loyalty concerns;

    THAT offensive and defensive line depth is considered the top priority for all player personnel decisions;

    THAT all decisions made by ownership, management, staff and players, both on and off the field, are judged only by this criterion: “Does this help the Cincinnati Bengals win a Super Bowl?”

You'd think Carson could afford an adult tie.

Carson, I love ya buddy but, your not going to finish the season again with the crappy line in front of you, no full back, no center, and no second running back.

The D still sucks, They got torched for 30+ points%50 of the time vs. the division last year and have zero pass rush.

You could stick jesuse christ back there at QB and this team would still suck.

Carson, this actually hurts me a little bit. I know you're getting paid a bunch of money to represent the bengals, but it really feels like you sold out.

YOU STILL HAVE NO O-LINE! BUT I GUESS SINCE WE HAVE RENEWED OUR COMMITTMENT TO THE RUN (AGAIN) THAT IT WILL BE OKAY.

This may be seen as blasphemy, and I love Carson as much as the next guy.

But is his leadership really what we think it is? I feel like a franchise quarterback who means what Carson does to this team, and to Mike Brown (who so often cites lack-of-Carson as a reason for failure), has all the leverage in the world to really stand up to some of what is going on. Yes, I realize there is the loyalty clause, but that can be danced around.

Every time I've expected Carson to call out the coaches, or the poor management, or his awful O-Line, etc etc, he has simply taken the responsibility on himself. Yes, it's classy as hell, and all respect to him for being the bigger man. But don't you think Mike Brown would reel a little bit if his darling QB told him he sucked? Carson's proven he's a good player and the most important one to this team. He's proven he has loads of class. I want to see him prove he's got some balls.

At least someone in the Bengals' organization is promising a Super Bowl though, isn't that one of the manifesto demands? No, thats not enough, but maybe we have made an impact.

Hey Jason, the article never said it was coaches around the league that approached him or told him they have improved he said...He was at the U of C Pro Day, so how many HCs around the league do you think attended? These guys are horrible! Yea, maybe an NFL team can get them another Toast Hawkins. Oh joy!

Marvin Lewis returned from the University of Cincinnati's Pro Day Thursday convinced more than ever that he has his team on the right course for 2009.

During the drills, highlighted by Connor Barwin's blistering 40-yard dash somewhere between 4.4 and 4.5 seconds, Lewis said people from several NFL teams complimented him on the Bengals offseason so far.

Lewis
Particularly the signing of wide receiver Laveranues Coles.

"We upgraded personnel. I was told that by 10 different people today," Lewis said in a sitdown with Bengals.com before he leaves for the NFL meetings this weekend in Dana Point, Calif.

You know who the 10 different people were who said something to ML it was the janitor coming through the tunnel, Mike Brown, Katie, and the seven dwarfs (all related to Mike Brown).

My 8-year old, who is a huge Carson fan, just looked at the picture and said "Dumb and Dumber". Nice Carson.

To be fair, they do kinda look like douchebags in that picture. The big guy has a very punchable face (AND a bowtie) and Carson's tie is ridiculous.
