Showing just how far the mighty have fallen...the Bengals Pro Shop is now offering a FREE Chad Johnson NFL jersey (retails for $80) with a $50 purchase. If you spend $100, you get two. If you spend $500, you can put together a makeshift tent with your ten jerseys.
Obviously the Pro Shop is trying to encourage sales of Bengals crap merchandise after a rough season...but could this mean the Bengals want to unload inventory of a player who will not be around next season?
The Bengals find new ways to defy logic everyday, so it's anyone's guess. But, I do find it interesting that the entire lot of Chad Johnson jersey's...those that have C. Johnson AND Ocho Cinco on the back are included in this offer.
Plus it also shows how much margin the NFL, Reebok, and the Bengals make on these jerseys.

They are still overpriced. Loud mouth receivers who get 500 yards receiving have a negative value in winning franchises.

Why would the Bengals do something like this? What an awful way to treat your customers. Why don't they just offer a free kick in the crotch with every order over $50?

I do agree with the spirit and intention of this blog entry...the only thing I regret about this blog entry (or this post, for that matter) is mentioning [Brown's] Bengals merchandise
GIVE THEM NOTHING, in the way of merchandise and/or concessions (Project Mayhem Task #3)
