To date, WDR has been successful in reaching out and speaking to the city of Cincinnati and their fans regarding the downfall (past and present) of our beloved Bengals. Through each of the Project Mayhem tasks, we have been able to not only grow awareness to the many problems stemming from the Bengals management but actually do things which impact the way management runs the team.
If you look at pretty much any article on WDR you can figure out the main problem of the past 18 years; we have an inept owner who is unwilling to change. The problems do not lie in the talent or the facilities, the problems lie within the management, starting from the owner and working it's way down to the coaching staff.
We will continue to spread the message of revolution but we have to realize that as a city and a fan base, we are not there yet.
In today's bengals.com article a local fan is quoted as saying "I really thought Hebert's play was great; the way he ran down Harrison like that," said Gajus of safety Kyries Hebert's 60-yard sprint to haul down Marvin Harrison from behind. "That's the kind of stuff that keeps us coming back because it shows we're not giving up."
This was speaking of the broken play from Sundays 35-3 loss against the Indianapolis Colts where Marvin Harrison took a short pass over the middle and after shaking off a few defenders, he bolted 67 yards down the field. Kyries Herbert, one of the defenders who missed the original tackles, chased him down and tackled him at the 2 yard line. This was a great play because it showed his determination to never quit.
The only problem is that the Bengals were already down 21-3, and the game was completely out of reach. Oh, and on the next play Peyton Manning threw a touchdown to an untouched Dallas Clark to increase the lead to 28-3.
Now don't get me wrong, it was a fantastic individual play, but what about tackling him at the line of scrimmage so he cannot run 67 yards down the field? All of these guys are trying to make something of a dismal season and trying to secure a spot on the roster for next year, but we, as fans, can't really believe that this is something to praise. Jordan Palmer coming off the bench to throw 3 touchdowns, that is something I would have cheered about. Dan Coats catching the touchdown pass the he dropped on the goal line to tie the game at 7 is something that I would cheer about.
Mediocrity is exactly what Mike Brown understands. If we, as fans, do not demand excellence, than we will be forced to continue to suffer years of losing and failure.
Continue to support the cause, continue to participate in Project Mayhem tasks, and continue to demand change. If we speak as once voice, management will have no choice but adhere to our demands.
Viva la Revolucion

See...you are all wrong comrade...if this fan thought that Bobby Hebert, or Herbert Hoover, or Kyries Kringle..whatever the name of that previously unknown and CFL (or was it arena league?)dwelling Safety is, was awesome and didn't quit...wait until he sees Mike "Yosemite Sam" Doss (aptly named for his habit of firing guns into the air at the slightest provacation) prowling the secondary. It's all good. Print the Super Bowl Tickets.
