Josh Zerkle nee Monday Morning Punte of Deadspin and Kissing Suzy Kolber fame (who was born and raised in Cincy, is a fellow suffering Bengals fan and Honorary Comrade) had me on his Podcast a few weeks back which was put up today. Check it out here. Adult topics and language are used, so if you are under the age of 17, please make sure you listen to this with your parent or guardian.
Topics discussed include:
- Don Biggs, former captain of the Cincinnati Cyclones
- How watching the Bengals at a bar with other Bengals fans is like drinking in a bar after the town mill just shut down
- The skills required to become a long-snapper
- Project Mayhem
- And more!
You have to listen to the first few minutes, but after that the interview starts. All I can say is that it isn't horrible. Now those are expectations that Mike Brown can relate to.

Anytime Corey Dillon's flipping burgers quote is used the interview has to be good.

BWAHAHAHA.. That analogy of drinking at a bar watching the Bengals and the town mill shutting down is so exactly on point, it is scary. I have never been to a mill, or to a bar in a town after a mill shut down, but I have watched my fair share of COPS episodes, and we all know how those end up.

Outstanding interview.
Your frustration was palpable.
I am a 46 yo life long Bengal fan - just a few years shy of the very beginning of the franchise actually.
I have two sons who I have shamelessly made into Bengal fans. It is one area where I feel I have failed as a father.
The other day, my older son (21) and I were in Best Buy. In a shopping cart was a little boy about a year old wearing a nice orange winter coat with the Bengal head on the back. I pointed him out to my son. I then proceeded to say that the father pushing the cart ought to be charged with child abuse, and instantly apologized to my son for ruining his life.
Later that same day, I went home, related the story to the rest of my family and my younger son (14) looked me square in the eye and said, "Dad, I love the Bengals, even if you don't."
I am become death, the destroyer of worlds.
