Last week, Mike Brown took time out of his busy soul-sucking schedule to speak with Mark Curnutte of the Enquirer and our very own Baghdad Hob (Geoff Hobson) of Bengals.com. In that interview, he addressed the billboards erected by WDR to demand for a General Manager. The Redeemer said that he doesn't want to pillory himself and hitchhike out to Fairfax to check out our art. Fair enough Mike, but I can think of a few people who would like to take the pillory option on themselves right now so they won't be subject to the final three games of the season.
Well folks, Mr. Monday Morning Quarterback has heard our cry. The former Cincinnati Enquirer sports writer Peter King has given us a mention as one of his five "Quotes of the Week"
Here's a link to the article...and below is the text:
Quote of the Week V
"I've heard about the billboards. I don't rush out to pillory myself and look at them.''
-- Bengals owner, president and GM Mike Brown, on the four billboards put up around Cincinnati by a protesting group of fans called whodeyrevolution.com. The group is asking for donations of $18, or $1 for every year of Brown's stewardship of the team, and says on its website: "Einstein's famous quote, 'Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again ad expecting different results,'' should be framed and put above the door to Mike Brown's office.''
God bless you Peter King. You are a comrade in arms here at Who Dey Revolution.

I happened to hear Mark Curnutte on AM 1530 talking about his "interview" with Mikey that was in The Enquirer . To paraphrase what he said, I kiss Mike's ass so I will continue to have a job. "I'm a beat reporter",which must mean that he does not ask any questions that might make Mikey mad. He then proceded to say that he has been doing this for 25 years so that allows him to do such worthless reporting. The best thing he said was that he is not a Bengal fan(I guess that he can't be faulted for that)and that Mikey came over to him at practice and thanked him for being FAIR! Very inciting article Mark-thanks. Keep up the good work..... that you have been doing for 25 years.

I have news for the "Soul Sucker". He has already "pilloried" himself with his eighteen years of futility. Good job, asshole. Now, if we could just get him into a pillory in Fountain Square so all of us idiot season ticket holders could throw some buckets of crap on him.

Ross Tucker commented on the Bengal's organization as well in his article today on si.com
"Grade: F
Cincinnati Bengals Organization. The personal foul penalty by chronic miscreant Chris Henry, when he used both hands to hit a Colts defender in the face long after the play was over, epitomizes the disgrace that has befallen this franchise. It is obvious in the face of back-to-back drubbings, this one 34-3 to the Colts, that the Bengals need to make wholesale changes. The problem is that those changes likely need to come at the top. As in higher-than-Marvin Lewis-top.
It is hard to place a lot of the blame on Lewis given the relative prosperity he brought to the organization in his first couple of years, most notably the division title in 2005. I mean, how can you point the finger at a coach who doesn't even get to say whether or not players like Henry can be on his team? Talk about a credibility issue in the locker room.
The defense that had shown signs of improvement this season was lit-up by Peyton Manning, who went 26-of-32 for 272 yards and three touchdowns, one week after failing to score an offensive touchdown against Cleveland.
The offense was characteristically poor and could only muster three points. Ryan Fitzpatrick's turnovers were the undoing for a team that lacks an identity and needs to either give Lewis more authority or bring in a personnel man who will work with Lewis and get the type of players Lewis wants on the roster."

I usually don't like to hear, whom I refer to as King Peter say anything because I think he's too cool for this world know-it-all pompous jackass. But in this case, I have to agree with him.
But who gives a fuck about his annoying travel stories and coffee comments?

TC: agreed, I've gotten completely fed up with Peter King's favoritism of certain teams, and downright trashing of the Bengals. Some have argued that we do it here at WDR, but our goal is to incite change, not simply be assholes (OK, sometimes it's about being assholes).
But anyway, kudos to King Peter for acknowledging the revolution. It grows stronger every day. MBB is quaking in his 60-year-old pair of galoshes (he'll never buy new ones).

...and just to note... ...the same 'definition of insanity' can be applied to all of the people on here who actually think Mike is going to change? See, you're all crazy!
Now can anyone question why I say that MBB would need to leave the city in order to be rid of his scourge -- why the people of Cincinnati and the surrounding areas missed their (possible) chance to see this happen and instead decided to become selfish and cry: "If we let Mike Brown move the teammmmm, we won't have football anymoreeeeeee. We will be a second class cityyyyyyyyy! Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Man it feels good when you knew you were right. Doesn't help a damned bit because of the aforementioned crybabys but...

You don't honestly think that 'MBB is quaking in his 60-year old pair of galoshes' do ya? I am hoping that you are being facetious.
OH, and btw, I have finally decided on the nickname for Ryan Fitzpatrick... He is forever to be known as: Ryan 'The Mind' Fitzpatrick!
