Seeing as it is the time of year to express thanks and well wishes to those individuals who make an impact on one’s life I would like to take the opportunity to thank the men and women that make our country so great. I don’t mean this post to be soft and full of sentiment, but rather to acknowledge that their are people outside of the WDR that allow us to express our opinions and agenda.
The founders of the Constitution were certainly ahead of their time when enacting the United States Bill of Rights. They devised a set of guidelines and rules that have lasted the test of time and are still relevant over 200 years from when they were written. Obviously the most relevant portion of the Constitution for our purposes is the First Amendment that in part prohibits the infringement of freedom of speech:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I will not continue to give a lesson in Constitutional Law, but will instead thank those individuals that have protected this legislation to the greatest end.
Men and Women of the Armed Forces – Thank you for defending our country with the greatest of sacrifice. Without your service and patronage we would be unable to live in a country where individual voices may be heard and freedom is a privilege that so many unfortunately overlook. We commend your patriotism and recognize the price many have paid to protect this great nation and its principles. We will not forget!
Peace Officers and Prosecutors - Your job at home and abroad is a thankless one that is consistently overlooked. Daily you are scrutinized by the media, judges, defense attorneys and the public for the job that you do. Blaming you is the soup of the day, but we at the WDR recognize that you are the last line of defense between anarchy and civility. Your burden to protect the laws and Constitution of the United States is not easy and appreciate the fine work that you do.
Teachers and Professors – Without your guidance and the education you bestow on countless individuals their would be little understanding and expression of thought or ideas. As Henry Brooks Adams once said “A teacher affects eternity. He can never tell where his influence stops.”
Intellects, Individuals, Community Leaders, and YOU – You, the people of the United States are what allow such forums as this to evolve, expand, articulate and transform. Without your support, influence, or ideas then there would be no need to protect and defend ones expression and opinion. Often ones success is assessed by assets and wealth not ones ideas. It is however, ones ideas that shape and change the world.
Spread the Revolution! Who Dey.

You know what sucks, WDR???
Cincinnati has a real college football team that won the Big East and is going to a BCS Bowl!!!! People, support the Bearcats. The only winning team in Cincinnati!!!!! I am a season ticket holder of both teams.
P.S. Brian Kelly..... Say no, to Notre Dame!!!!!! Stay at UC!

I don't think he's going there. He 'might' go somewhere else, but not Notre Dame. That is a coaching 'deathwish' for him. Look at the coaches who failed to do anything worthwhile (Winningham, Weiss), they are probably going to be backwater people anymore.
Kelly is going to want to go to a team that has at least modest potential (if he were to leave UC) -- not one where he has to start from scratch. This is not taking anything away from Kelly but Dantonio had a positive foundation for which Kelly could work with. Right now I have trouble thinking of ANY team that has coaching issues that also has that necessary foundation. I don't see him going anywhere for at least three more years -- probably more.
