As C. Trent writes, Marvin Lewis has lost his grip on reality. When asked about the Bengals pass rush on Sunday, or the lack thereof, here is what Marvin said:
"I don’t think so. I think we got pretty good pressure on him. If you go back and watch the tape, or go back through and you Tivo’d the game, I’m sure, go back and watch it. I thought we did a nice job, a not bad job, but they had seven or eight guys in protection for most of the day, which makes a big difference. So they weren’t going to allow him to be hit. We were able to get the ball out of his hand a couple of times and he made a couple of throws. Again, the first part of the game the defense did a nice job, we did a good job on third down and we were able to get the ball out of his hand quickly and we’ve got to do better in the second part. They were able to convert and get some first downs made, which sustained the drive and control that field position and put it back the other way."
What is it going to take for Marvin to stop sugarcoating horrific performances for the media and Bengals fans? Marvin, WE SAW THE GAME TOO. No one believes that the Bengals defensive line did ANYTHING productive.
To be successful in anything, football included, management and coaches have to hold players to a high standard. If the performance of the defensive line on Sunday was "pretty good pressure," how good can this team really be?

The problem is that Marvin Lewis knows that he is talking to a bunch of douche bags.

I remember at least two drops on easy throws the Ravens had that would have given them first downs and a handful of plays where they basically beat themselves. Marvin began mailing in his performance many weeks ago, methinks.

It would not doubt if Mike Brown put in his contract that he may not talk bad about the team. There both dick heads and need to find new jobs.

Hi,
I really like what you're trying to do with your site!!! Unfortunately I have been a Bengal's fan my entire life. I now root for the Titans not because they are doing well this year but because I purchased a second home in Tennessee this past August.
You have a tough up hill climb trying to change the laughing stalk of not just the NFL but all professional sport franchises!!! Lets face it trying to change how things are run in the Bengal's office will not be easy by any stretch. It's important to understand this guys mind set. Mike Brown is not wired like the rest of us. He does not care about winning only the bottom line. The only example you need on top of all the losing he has allowed is just point to the fact that he is charging his players for team photos, just like back in Pee Wee football. Ya, that tight wad move is going to really help attract free agents! See he only thinks about money!
Perhaps we need to get as many fans as possible to write to the Commissioner demanding help. Mr. Browns way of doing things is disgraceful and a total travesty. I feel we need to get help from the top. We pay for his stadium after he holds us hostage, and what do we have to show for it? Ya, the worst show on turf! (Ok grass) year after year after year! I refer to Paul Brown Stadium as All Frown Stadium, thats a much better fit don't you think?
Keep up the fight us fans are paying attention
David James
