Is anyone else a little frightened that our offensive offensive scheme might be run by an angry old man that rambles on and on during NBA broadcasts about god knows what so that I usually have a brain aneurysm by the time he finishes his tangent with a summary of his days following Patton through the forests of Europe.
After doing a little fact checking it appears that Hubie Brown never does NBA broadcasts at the same time as when the Bengals play. Very interesting indeed. Could our playbook be designed by a man who may or may not have gone senile like three decades ago. All of these questions remain to be seen, but for now if anyone has a photo of Brat and Hubie in the same place at the same time I would like to see it.
According to Brat/Hubie in his press conference yesterday, they aren't giving up on the running game yet this season.
He says, "I think we're going to be a good running team by the time this thing is over with."
I don't know about anyone else, but that didn't sound very encouraging to me when he called our season or his tenure at the Bengals, "this thing".
I don't really know what's going on in the rest of his quotes either, it's like he isn't the offensive coordinator.
"You can't pay lip service if you want to be a running team," Bratkowski said after 15 of the 65 rushing yards came on Carson Palmer scrambles. "You either are going to run the ball and stick with it, or not. But don't say you're going to be a physical running team because you can't do both. You have to stick with it."
"That's not to say we're not going to use our wide receivers and tight ends. But at the first sign of not being able to run it, we're not going to abandon it."
Is he talking to himself right there or is he already tacitly acknowledging that Mike Brown has assumed the same mantle Will Ferrell assumes in Semi-Pro, Owner/GM/Coach/Player, except I don't see Mikey suiting up anytime soon. Actually he could probably play some O-Line for us and no one would be able to tell the difference.
Poor Carson and TJ and Kenny Watson.

You think Bratkowski gets as excited as a great timeout call as Hubie does? My guess is yes.
We are the only ones who like the NBA, by the way.

Is there an editor on this site? That entry wasn't creative or humurous, in the least.

Thanks for the feedback Gorbbie...we'll be sure to take note we failed to make you laugh in an original way on this one post.

Gorrbie, you wouldn't know humorous if someone spelled it out for you. Unless you mean to say that this post didn't taste like hummus, then I have to concede that you're right.

He meant humerus, like the bone in the arm.
And he's right, the post doesn't mention any arm at all.
The real Hubie would have said:
"Okay. Say you're a running team. You know you're not going to not say you're not going to use your wide receivers and your tight ends. But at the first sign of not being able to run it, you're not going to abandon it. Uh... upside."

Am I suffering a stroke or does none of anything written here make sense?

I want a young offensive mind who will buddy up to Palmer, ala Dallas and NE
