We here at La Revolucion want to prepare you for the excuses that the Bengals are going to use for when they suck this season. The sad part is, you don't need to be a psychic to see each and every one of these coming and you know they're coming! Picture Marvin Lewis saying these in a press conference.
Why the Bengals are losing in the pre-season: "It's pre-season. Pre-season games don't count."
Why the Bengals are 1-2 in their first three games: "It's early in the season, and we're trying to get healthy." This would work if a baseball team started 1-2.
Why the Bengals are 3-5 in their first eight games: "We had a rough first half schedule (Baltimore, Dallas, Tennessee, Giants, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Jets, Jacksonville), and we're still not healthy. Injuries are killing us."
Why the Bengals are 4-8 and out of the playoffs (AGAIN): "We had a rough four games (Houston, Philly, Pittsburgh, Baltimore), and we're still not healthy." Every other team in the NFL is healthy all the time, except for the Bengals.
Why the Bengals are 6-10 at the end of the year, and Marvin gets fired: "We had a rough schedule and hard time getting healthy." Because in the NFL, only the Bengals have a rough schedule and health problems. No other team experiences this.
The thing is you can rip Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis all you want about this team, but the 53 players on the Bengals roster are the ones that have to get the job done. The lack of scouting department and GM isn't why Carson got his face beat in by the Saints; the O-Line couldn't block Baylor's D-Line that game. Poor coaching isn't why Jeremi Johnson is a fat ass, eating is why Jeremi Johnson's a fat ass. The players don't seem to care anymore about winning. They seem confortable with the excuses set forth by the fans and media: injuries, Mike Brown has severe daddy issues that he won't cop to or change his ways for, schedule, the lack of football people, the stadium, the division they play in, etc.
Excuses, excuses, excuses.

You can bag on Mike Brown, and Marvin Lewis, and Katie Blackburn, and baisically every player on the Bengals team.
But I don't think Jeremi Johnson deserves that kind of Comment, yes he has been overweight nearly every season and he is hurt now. But aside from this season he has consitently been one of the best fullbacks the Bengals have ever had. When it comes to the regular and post season Jeremi always gets out there and plays like he wants to win EVERY GAME. Thats more than you can say about Chad, or Rudi, especially Perry, and even Palmer in certain games. He gets out there and does his job, Daniel coats is playing fullback now and you can see where that has gotten us, Coats blocks about as well as Eric Ghaiciuc. When Jeremi Gets over his injury we should see a few more years of solid football left in him. He will probobly never be a Hall of Famer and will never get recognition for his fantastic playing because of his preseason problems. Let's bitch about Corey Dillon's Bitching. Let's complain about Chad's complaining. Let's talk about how Carson was recovering from an injry in 2006, had a legitamatley bad season in 2007, and has one of the worst Offensive lines that I have ever seen in 2008 which resulted in one of the most confusing injuries I have ever seen. But lets not talk about Jeremi Johnson's weight problems if he doesn't let it affect him when it really counts.
