If this is true, I'm not sure where to go from here if you are a Bengals fan.
According James Walker at ESPN.com, Marvin Frazier (Chris Henry's agent) has said that the Bengals are actually showing interest in re-signing Henry following the dismissal of his assault charge.
Despite a tasteful choice of track suits, I'm not sure what else the Bengals would want with Henry.
After drafting three wide receivers in the 2008 draft, not to mention signing the troubled Marcus Purify, and the (apparent) return of Chad Johnson, why bring Henry back at the risk of more embarassment?
PR Director Jack Brennan took the opportunity to say the following:
"The Bengals organization has zero interest in re-signing Chris Henry."
Oh wait, he didn't say that. Not even close. Instead, the Bengals released this pathetic statement:
"Chris is presently under NFL suspension, and until such time as he may be reinstated, we are not in position to comment," the team said. "Even in the event he is reinstated, he is no longer our player, and rarely if ever do we comment on any player who is not under contract with us."
If you are sick and tired of the Bengals even THINKING about re-signing players like Chris Henry, sign the WDR Manifesto and stand up to the Bengals stranglehold on mediocrity.

I don't understand. The guy has alligator arms and wears his own jersey out to da club. It's one thing if the guy catches everything and is a total idiot (Johnson) or is a total nerd/intellectual who is average on the field (D. Jones). But when you are both stupid and average there is no place for you on the roster.

We'll probably resign him to a max deal.

This maybe the tipping point for me as a Bengals fan. Despite the man-crush on Carson, if Mikey resigns Chris Henry I will probably walk away until there is new management in place. Ughh being a Bengals fan is like being in love with a girl that you hates.

We may have drafted a bunch of new WRs but they haven't done anything in the NFL yet. Chris Henry is a proven criminal, but more importantly he is a proven big play NFL WR. Mikey and Marvin please resign him! If they do that means I won't have to retire my #15 jersey. :)

Roger Goodell should make good on his word to start punishing/fining teams for making poor player personnel choices. I think that is the only way Mike Brown will get it through his fat head that he can't go after thugs anymore. What is it about Cincy coaches/owners that makes them like thugs so much (see: Bob Huggins)? Although, in fairness, the Bearcats were so badass for a while it was absurd.
Side note: worst three days in Cincy sports history (reverse order).
3. Justin Love of St. Louis breaks Kenyon Martin's leg in meaningless game; Bearcats subsequently lose in 2nd round to Tulsa
2. Kimo takes out Carson's leg--this one still has deep scars for me--Bengals lose to Steelers in first round of playoffs
1. Mike Brown becomes full owner of Cincinnati Bengals--we NEVER win a playoff game again
